Sunsets Jessie
IAHA # 326114

Rose Grey Filly

Jessie is a feisty, people-oriented, working kind of horse. At the end of September, 1998 she was 18 months old and 13' 3 hands high.

Jessie under saddle

Jessie is halter broke, can be easily caught, leads, ties, ponies, gives all of her feet, clips, hauls and longes. She is very trusting and not at all spooky. She was sacked out several times with ropes, sacks and blankets but just gave me that ' What I have to put up with' look. Jessie has been longed under saddle and with a snaffle bit and bridle for 10 days this fall but has not had a rider on. She has been ground driven 4 of those days with no fuss other than she still plays with the bit. She steers reasonably well, backs and whoa's on command. After being such a good girl, she had her feet trimmed, recieved all of her shots, was wormed and has been turned out to winter pasture.

Her Sire is a Blue Star Arab, DB Rulique, whose strain is Hamdani and is currently working at level Med 1 - Med 2 dressage. He is grey with a blood mark and stands 15 hands. Her Dam is a solidly built ranch bred chestnut quarter horse who stands 15' 1 weighs 1250 lbs. in working condition and will be used for cutting and team penning this winter.
