Gypsy nee Freckles

Gypsy Loves to Work
Gypsy began training for working cow horse the winter of `98/`99. She is pictured at a Alberta Reined Cow Horse Association spring show where she earned a fence work score of 71 ½ !

She was subsequently used for a season of Team Penning prior to delivering her second foal, Texas Big Red. Red is a skookum red roan filly measuring just under 15' 3 with snowflakes over her hips and back. She is an all around kind of mare who's owners are riding her at all sorts of events. Gypsy then had Houston Texas, another red roan filly who is also a very versatile filly. Houston has been evaluated and accepted into the Canadian Sport Horse Association Stud Book.

Gypsy was subsequently bred to Rein Dancer SSH and had two dark bay colts, Merlyn and Tucker. Both are very leggy and look like they will mature into big strong geldings for ranch work.

Fall of 2005 Gypsy was retired as a broodmare and will be back to working cows and  accompanying the young horses on their first rides out on the trails.

Congratulations to Maaike Jansen on her purchase of this fine mare. We wish them many happy wanderings!
